The Partner Trip · Chengdu & Beijing · 7 days

Come and see it
before you sell it.

7 days, November/December 2026 6 places, application & selection Land programme hosted on us €450 qualifying contribution, fully deductible from your first booking

You wouldn't sell a hotel you've never seen. A destination partner deserves the same standard. This is seven days on the ground with the team you'd be trusting with your clients — the routes, the hotels, the guides, the kitchens, and the operations behind all of it.

The Great Wall of China at Mutianyu, empty at first light

The Great Wall at Mutianyu — you'll have this light to yourself, because we start before everyone else.

The deal, plainly

Hosted on the ground. Shared in spirit.
Fee that returns.

A partner trip done properly costs real money. We'd rather run it for six serious people who can actually place China programmes than thirty who can’t. So:

€450 qualifying contributionInvoiced only after you're accepted. 100% of it is deducted from your first confirmed booking with us within 12 months. Serious partners are flattered by the fee; window-shoppers are filtered by it.
You cover flightsEconomy return to Beijing, home from Chengdu. Inside China, everything below is on us: hotels, rail and day transfers, guides, entrances, most meals.
Application & selectionSix places, reserved for people who own or directly shape Asia product: owners, product and destination managers at registered European agencies. We confirm within one week of applying.

The week

Seven days, built like the trips we sell

You experience our product lines the way your clients would — then look under the bonnet.

  1. Day 1

    Arrive Beijing

Meet the whole team over dinner in a hutong courtyard. Trip briefing: what this week is designed to prove.

  2. Day 2

The Great Wall at dawn, the Palace at your pace

Mutianyu before the paths fill — the photograph your clients will ask about. Afternoon in the Forbidden City with our senior guide; evening Peking duck, graded by us honestly afterwards.

  3. Day 3

    Under the bonnet, then south

Morning with our licensed operating partner: licences, insurance, vehicles, guide standards, emergency protocols, booking flow. In the afternoon we fly to Chengdu.

  4. Day 4

Pandas at feeding time, tea at local time

The Panda Base at 8am before the crowds. Afternoon in People's Park — matchmaking corner, ear cleaners, mahjong — and why the tea house is the unit of Chengdu life.

  5. Day 5

    Engineering since 256 BC

Dujiangyan irrigation system with the engineer’s tour, then Mount Qingcheng’s temple paths at an easy grade. Dinner: Sichuan beyond the chilli.

  6. Day 6

    The kitchen day

Wet market with a chef, hands-on cooking class, the lunch we made. Evening face-changing opera, with the seating we'd actually buy your clients.

  7. Day 7

    Wrap and depart

Morning working session: your market, our lines, what a first trial booking would look like. Airport transfers, unhurried.

What’s covered

On us, on the ground

  • 6 nights’ hotels (the same character properties we sell, single rooms)
  • All programme transport: airport transfers, private car and driver, Beijing–Chengdu flight
  • Senior guides and hosts throughout — the people we’d put with your clients
  • Entrances and experiences as scheduled, including the cooking class and opera
  • Most meals, from Peking duck to the kitchen class lunch

On you

  • €450 qualifying contribution — invoiced after acceptance, fully deductible from your first confirmed booking within 12 months
  • International and home-positioning flights (we’ll advise routings and timings)
  • Comprehensive travel insurance — required, as it will be for your clients
  • Your own extras: drinks beyond the toasts, laundry, souvenirs
Participation terms in brief. Entry is visa-free for most European passports (30 days, announced through 31 December 2026 — we confirm for your nationality). The fee is refunded in full if we cancel or if visa rules change materially before departure; it is otherwise non-refundable once your place is confirmed, because every euro of it goes into hard costs. Onward programme details, dietary and mobility notes, and the full terms come with the acceptance pack.

Apply

Six places. Tell us who you are.

Applications are read by a person, not a queue. We answer every application within one week, honestly — including "not this time" with the reason why.
